Terms of Service

Effective date: June 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RentCredit website and services, operated by Project5Pi ("RentCredit," "we," "us"). By using our site, joining our waitlist, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What RentCredit is

RentCredit is a rent-reporting service that, when launched, submits your on-time rent payments to consumer reporting agencies so they can be reflected in your credit history. Today, the site lets you learn about the service, estimate potential outcomes, and join the early-access waitlist.

Important - what RentCredit is not. RentCredit is not a lender, not a bank, not a credit-repair organization, and not a credit-counseling agency, and we do not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. We do not guarantee any particular credit-score change, loan approval, interest rate, or savings. Credit outcomes depend on your individual credit profile and factors outside our control. Any figures shown in our calculator are estimates for illustration only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use our services.

3. On-time, positive reporting

If you enroll in rent reporting, we report only your on-time payments. We do not report late or missed payments. Participation is designed so it cannot lower your score through negative reporting; however, we do not control how any third party weighs the information.

4. Accounts and accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your access.

5. Fees, billing, and cancellation

6. Communications

By providing your email or phone number, you agree we may contact you about the service. Marketing texts require your separate opt-in and are governed by our SMS Terms. You can opt out of emails (unsubscribe) or texts (reply STOP) at any time.

7. Third-party services

We rely on third parties such as Plaid (bank connectivity), our identity-verification vendor, and the credit bureaus. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party acts or omissions.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, submit false information, attempt to access it without authorization, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

9. Intellectual property

The site, its content, and our trademarks are owned by Project5Pi or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project5Pi and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Project5Pi from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Rhode Island, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We will revise the effective date above.
